NACE International Honors American Innovations with “Corrosion Innovation of the Year” Award for the Third Year in a Row
American Innovations MicroMax GPS300 current interrupter wins NACE International-sponsored “Corrosion Innovation of the Year” award.
Austin, TX – April 30, 2015– American Innovations (AI), protecting people and the environment with compliance solutions for the oil and gas industry, received a 2015 “Corrosion Innovation of the Year” award for the MicroMax GPS300 portable current interrupter from NACE International’s Materials Performance magazine. This is the third year in a row AI received the award, winning in 2013 for the Allegro Field Data PC™ and RFID and in 2014 for the Bullhorn® RM4150 Rectifier Monitor.
AI’s MicroMax GPS300 portable current interrupter, designed to remotely interrupt rectifiers used in CP systems, won in the Cathodic Protection category. The award was presented during NACE International’s CORROSION 2015 Conference and Expo in Dallas, Texas where 6350 attendees had the opportunity to participate in the award ceremony.
“The goal of the annual Corrosion Innovation Awards program is to provide a forum where NACE International members and customers can showcase their corrosion mitigation technologies – and be recognized for them,” explained Bob Chalker, Chief Executive Officer of NACE International. “The winners are the leaders in cutting-edge corrosion control technology.”
The MicroMax GPS300 was evaluated by a panel of leading corrosion experts, alongside other entries from around the world. Innovative features of AI’s portable current interrupter include its compact size, portability, ruggedness, and Interference Mode of operation where the interrupter synchronously interrupts specific groups of rectifiers to determine the influence of each on the structure under test.
“The team at American Innovations is honored to receive this award, particularly from a well-known and respected organization such as NACE,” said Ed Kruft, President of American Innovations. “We are always looking for new ways to help our customers protect their critical assets and satisfy their regulatory compliance requirements. Our goal is to create a continuous pipeline of innovative products such as the GPS300 to meet their diverse needs.”
